Voter MaintenantThe Choir of Angels, created in 2010, is a choir based in St John the Baptist’s Parish, Foncha Street, Nkwen, Bamenda, Cameroon. Our activities include leading the church community in singing during Masses, animating at other events such as weddings, funerals, anniversaries, conferences amongst others. We also carry out outreach programs and organize seasonal concerts for various purposes. We won’t say we are the best in the game but we have held our own down, in the yesteryears. We bagged wins in competitions, some of which are:- The BEPHA CHORAL COMPETITION (2013)- The BAMENDA ARCHDIOCESAN CHOIR COMPETITION (2014)- The NEW BREED AFRICA CELEBRITY AWARDS, best choir in the North West Region (2016)- The BRASSERIES CHRISTMAS CHORAL COMPETITION (2017)We are passionate about ministering through music and we are available for bookings, collaborations, exchanges and other goodwill activities.
his performance is a subtle classical piece expressing the joy and gladness bestowed in our lives by the Almighty God. As the song title says "He has made me glad", we are so glad to spread the joy of the Lord wherever we find ourselves, and in the way we know best, which is with our voices.
We believe that our choir should be selected for the CHORAL CLASH because we have what it takes to compete for the prize as we have talented and dedicated choristers. Also, we would be grateful for the opportunity to gain visibility and exposure to the world at large. This competition will be, for us, an opportunity to test our choral strength as compared to other choral groups, to learn and adapt to new styles and techniques as well as interact with other choirs.Ultimately, winning a competition of this magnitude will be an immense blessing to us, especially financially, as it would go a very long way to help us achieve our goals which include purchase of musical equipment (as opposed to renting) and outreach activities among other things.
