Voter MaintenantG2 Melody (Gospel Guardians Melody) is a dynamic acapella group from the Church of Christ which was founded in 2016. G2 was born from a vision to evangelize through music amongst others. Starting off with little or almost no musical knowledge and members coming from a music deficient background, God ignited something in us. Today, G2 Melody has evolved into a spiritually-grounded and musical group dedicated to evangelizing, worship, outreach, and music education. We’ve released a a couple of songs, hosted outreach events, won Best Music Group Award at CIMFEST 2023. Our style is a dynamic blend of African vernacular elements, Negro spirituals, and modern worship.
Our presentation is a soulful acapella medley of "You Raise Me Up" and "You Say" by Lauren Daigle, uniquely arranged in G2 Melody’s signature style. Blending just the voices the piece transitions seamlessly between strength and vulnerability to assurance and dependability of who He says we are. Through our expressions and carefully layered vocals, we sing with these convictions: Though weak, He makes us strong and who He makes strong is strong indeed.
Choral Clash is more than a competition to us, it’s an opportunity to break our limits, challenge ourselves, and grow musically and spiritually. We believe this platform can help amplify our mission and bring to the lamb light who we are. Our participation would not only enrich the event with a unique acapella style but also share G2 Melody’s message of unity, purpose, and divine talent with the world. This clash is our calling to rise and reveal who we are. Our dedication to worship and praise, along with our commitment to choral excellence, makes us stand out.
